While I am not 100% sure that the restaurant and gas station at this location was Shadowcliffe, the evidence at this point is compelling enough to name this page Shadowcliffe camp. Some details below.
One thing, though, if this is Shadowcliffe, then Kloster's map, below, should probably have these establishments under the current I-84 alignment.
Working on these pages today, I've seen some more photos that seem to support this location based on the profile of the cliffs and hills in the background, so I am about 99% sure this is Shadowcliffe.
Ben Carscallen, February 15, 2020: Do we know where this sat?
Kirk J. Poole, February 15, 2020: That hill in the back...? It could be somewhere along the Dodson / Bonneville line?
Gary Randall, February 15, 2020: I think that this was at Dodson. Not positive but there's a similar hill in the background there. It's a matter of finding a place on the road that the hill lines up perfectly with. It's also possible that the road has been altered since the photo was taken and the freeway was put in.
Kirk J. Poole, February 15, 2020: I wonder if that's an outer part of the crumbling gas station along there. That's also one of a couple turn along the Dodson-Warrendale segment?
Gary Randall, February 15, 2020: I wondered that too Kirk but the road doesn't line up with the hill behind. That's what confuses me.
Brian Colburn: I rejected the peak to the west of Mitchell Point. While there are similarities, there are also some alignment problems with the road. I did find another peak that is a much better match, Shellrock Mountain. The building appears to be in the vicinity of Hole In The Wall Falls. When I go back there, I'm going to see if a foundation exists.
These maps are all I know about the businesses right now...
