I am making a lot of assumptions based on feelings and vague visual evidence in this section, and here's another one... Considering that the east end of the Government Cove Fragment was way above this wall, and considering some assumptions I'll be making about The Dalles to Sandy River Military Road at the end of this section, I believe that this is a remnant from the US 30 Water Level Route before this road was re-aligned during the construction of I-80N (I-84).

Unfortunately, I have no pictures of my own, yet, to share of this. It's always been tricky to spot from I-84 while barreling down the freeway at 65 mph, especially while driving, and while I have attempted a few photos out the window, at speed, none of them ever were anything but awful blurs.

I've always meant to walk down from above, but until today I didn't have it pinpointed on the map and was always in a hurry to move on to other places, not taking the time to hunt for it. Realizing it was right below the east end of the Government Cove Fragment was a bit of a surprise to me, today!
