Hoarder House Packrats

At the edge of the Moonshore kingdom is a human hoarder's house where packrats scavenge. Braving the dangerous cats and traps in the region, Packrats bring back valuable materials and unusual items to trade for pips. Packrats have learned to pack efficiently to carry the maximum amount of goods. Their Rat packs are highly sought after items by any mouse adventurer.

Scavenged Goods

Packrats are usually acquisition and suppliers for shops in mouse towns. They will often trade on the side to adventurers they pass on the road. Packrats sell items for d100 pips each.

Roll d8 and proceed to the corresponding table.

Looking for something Specific?

Once per encounter a Packrat will have a 30% chance to have an item requested by a player's mouse. If they do not have the item, there is a 50% chance that the Packrat will be able to tell the player's mouse where to get it.

Carry More

Packrats make and sell two types of backpacks which expand the carry capacity of adventurous mice. These unique items take up a mouse's armor space. Carrying all those valuable goods, it is unwise to travel with no armor at all. Packrats use a special shield that can be held in the offpaw or in two hands.

Rat Sack

The Rat Sack takes up a mouse's chest armor space and requires a strength of 9 to carry. This bag expands the mouse's inventory by 2 spaces.

The Rat Pack takes up a mouse's chest and head armor space and requires a strength of 11 to carry. This bag expands the mouse's inventory by 4 spaces.

Cover Shield

All non magical attacks made on the wielder of this shield are impaired. The shield provides full cover if held in both hands, but the wielder may not attack while doing so and may only move at half speed.

Held in offpaw, or in both hands.

How to Use at the Table

Cut out and fold your bags as shown in the image here. Place items inside the folded pack that are stored there. Remember, the same inventory rules apply to packs as described below.

Pack: Takes time to ready. During combat, takes an action to retrieve an item from your pack.
