Our Story

Formed in 2002, the Calgary Vietnamese Youth Group (CVYG) is a not-for-profit youth empowerment initiative that provides activities and support to Vietnamese youth to help them be their best - providing them with a strong foundation for success in school, work, personal and community lives. 

CVYG’s mission is to help the youth build a bright future and have greater participation and leadership roles in their communities.

In January 2011, CVYG incorporated as a non-profit society, and is now called Calgary Vietnamese Youth Association.

CVYA's overarching mission is to empower young individuals, enabling them to forge promising futures and assume influential roles within their communities. It is dedicated to nurturing Vietnamese youth, offering them a robust framework for success in academics, careers, personal development, and community involvement. The organization is resolute in its commitment to provide youth with opportunities for personal growth, professional advancement, and active engagement in community affairs.
