Working with learners in a virtual practice can seem intimidating, but the good news is that, as a clinical teacher, you already have most of the skills you need. Participants share perspectives of a teacher and learner on the front line, including what can be observed and assessed, and how the teaching skills you already have can be adapted to the virtual environment. USask's faculty development office has developed resources to support virtual patient care and the supervision of clinical learners. They have also curated additional resources in these areas.
This resource was released in March 2020 to support clinicians in the incorporation of virtual modalities in their care models. It includes guidance on platforms, hardware, consents and other important technical pieces of virtual care.
