March 2025
We held our very first Seaton Tech Hub this week and it got off to a great start! Our P6 Digital Technology members hosted their own session and provided a range of support to their community customers. The team were thrilled to provide support on how to create a folder to organise their photographs on their phone. They were also able to show how to delete unwanted emails, share their favourite apps and give advice on how to find the best sudoko apps.
Overall our community customers were thrilled with the helpful support they received and were eager to share with their friends and promote coming along to the next session on the 27th March. Our P6 Tech Team were just fantastic and embodied our school values of listening and sharing instructions and being kind and respectful to others. The team are very enthusiastic and keen to share their experience to develop this project further.
A huge well done to our Seaton Tech Team!

Meet Robbie our Digital Mascot!
Our STEAM PPG (Pupil Participation Group) created thier own mascot to represent Digital Technologies at Seaton. Robbie the Robot will be giving a helping hand during digital technology sessions by supporting learners to develop their digital technology skills.
The PPG decided to host a competition where everyone had the opportunity to design their own mascot to be judged by the panel. The panel chose Holly's design which is now displayed across the school and is a proud part of our Digital Technology sessions at Seaton. A huge WELL DONE to Holly!

Term 2: STEM Challenges
The December STEM challenges firstly focused upon helping a poor wee penguin get himself and his family down a very icy and rocky hill filled with hazards. The second challenge asked learners to help a struggling santa to land his sleigh safely.
Both challenges were linked to the development of key skills; problem solving, communication, creativity, critical thinking and resillience.
