The Grand Lodge of England chartered Amity Lodge No. 309 in Belize (formerly British Honduras) in 1763, which existed until 1813.  In 1820, British Constitution Lodge No. 723 was chartered, followed by Royal Sussex Lodge No. 860 in 1831 however, both lodges closed and stopped functioning around 1862. 

In 1963, the MW Union Grand Lodge of Florida, Prince Hall Affiliated chartered Steadfast Lodge No. 683 which still exists in Belize City.  The Grand Lodge of the State of Andrés Quintana Roo chartered the following lodges in Belize: Corozal Fraternity Lodge No 11 in 1985 in Corozal Town, Pythagoras Lodge No. 29 which was first organized in 1976 in Dangriga Town and Armonia Universal No. 24 in 2010 in Orange Walk Town.

On June 12th, 2012, the Grand Lodge of the State of Andrés Quintana Roo, Mexico upon the request of its three warranted Lodges in Belize:

-              Pythagoras Lodge No. 29 chartered November 16th,1976 in Dangriga Town,

-              Corozal Fraternity Lodge No. 11 chartered May 28th, 1985, in Corozal Town and

-              Armonia Universal Lodge No 24 chartered January 10th, 2010, in Orange Walk Town

authorized and empowered the formation of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Belize ceding its previous territory in the country of Belize.  

The Grand Lodge of the State of Andrés Quintana Roo is a regularly recognized Grand Lodge tracing its origins in 1980 from the United Grand Lodge of the Eastern Peninsula of the State of Yucatán which traces its regular origins in 1928 from the Grand Lodge of the State of Veracruz (Gran Logia Unida Mexicana del Gran Oriente de Veracruz).  The Grand Lodge of the State of Veracruz is a well-established regular and sovereign grand jurisdiction which was constituted on December 24, 1885, and is recognized by the UGLE.

After its foundation in 2012, the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Belize began to function as a sovereign and independent grand jurisdiction regularly formed for and operating within the country of Belize where it has established within its jurisdiction a total of 5 Lodges, divided across 5 towns.

There is no other grand lodge formed in or organised specifically for Belize thus fulfilling the doctrine of exclusive territorial jurisdiction that there is only one grand lodge formed for this jurisdiction.   

The following Lodges were chartered by the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Belize:

Corozal Fraternity No. 1 in Corozal Town

Pythagoras Masonic Lodge No. 2 in Dangriga Town

Armonia Universal No. 3 in Orange Walk Town

Fernando Suarez Lodge No. 4 in Corozal Town *currently inactive

Ambergris Caye Masonic Lodge No. 5 in San Pedro Town 

Hiram Abif Masonic Lodge No. 6 in Mango Creek Town

The Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Belize’s administrative office is in the town of Corozal. The Masonic Temple is located on the street Collage Road, which holds the office of the Grand Lodge and the amenities of a lodge. The temple has a capacity of fifty people.
