I still consider my efforts in science education and public outreach to be some of the best time I spent while getting my degree, and certainly my longest-lasting impact on the planetary science community. Enjoy! (I certainly did.)
As part of a summer internship (May-July 2013) with the University of Arizona's OSIRIS-REx asteroid sample return mission, I developed the 321Science! brand and created several "fast-draw" YouTube videos designed to interpret the mission's science for general audiences. I currently volunteer my time as an artist, narrator and script writer, helping to produce one video per month.
Watch the videos here.
For Women's History month, March 2014, I joined Dr. Anna Spitz in a start-up collaborative effort to inspire, encourage and celebrate women's lives as part of the Women's Stories initiative (supported by the Sonora Environmental Research Institute, Inc.). I volunteered as an artist and narrator and occasional script writer, and we created several videos highlighting women heroes in the past and present.

I still volunteer my time and Google Doc skills as the organizer of the RSVP list for the Colorado planetary science community's annual BratFest** cookout.
**That's BratFest... like, sausages. As in, pronounced "brought-fest." In case anyone was wondering. Just clarifying. We're good now.
I created a photobook with a poem (a la Dr. Seuss) to summarize my dissertation. Here are the pages in a slideshow. Enjoy!
