A/Prof Hana Burianová is a cognitive neuroscientist with primary research expertise in the study of:
(i) brain plasticity due to ageing and neurodegeneration;
(ii) brain plasticity following recovery from stroke, epilepsy & brain trauma;
(iii) brain (re)organisation of memory across the lifespan.
Dr Claire Hanley is a cognitive neuroscientist with primary research expertise in the study of:
(i) modified plasticity following non-invasive brain stimulation;
(ii) age-related plasticity changes;
(iii) altered attention & inhibitory control across the lifespan.
Simon Newstead
The objective of Simon's PhD project is a multimodal investigation of the effects of fronto-cerebellar tDCS.
His research interests include:
(i) neuromodulation and its influence upon mood, cognition, and autonomic function;
(ii) influence of inflammatory response, diet, and supplementation on cognition and affective disorders.
Samuel Fynes-Clinton
The objective of Sam's PhD project is an investigation of the structure, function, and connectivity of the memory networks in the developing brain.
His research interests include:
(i) memory organisation in the brains of healthy children and adolescents;
(ii) memory reorganisation in paediatric patients following traumatic brain injury.
Jeyda Hunt
The objective of Jeyda's PhD project is to investigate the impact of health anxiety on cognition in ageing.
Her research interests include:
(i) impact of age-related mental health decline on memory performance;
(ii) utilisation of novel technologies to decelerate age-related decline.
