Berkshire Folk Arts presents: Balfolk in the Berkshires June 13 (Friday evening) - June 15 (Sunday morning) 2025
“Balfolk” is a pan-national participatory folk-dance phenomenon, rooted in the folkloric styles of Central France, but now reaching across Europe and around the world. Circles, squares, line-dances, couples dances in an easy and inclusive format–to the accompaniment of great live music on fiddle, accordion, hurdy-gurdy, and more.
Offering friendly and accessible instruction on dances and tunes: for fiddle, bagpipes, accordion, and rhythm instruments.
Top players, great venues, friendly community, and international-level Bal-Folk dance experts, all in the rolling hills and funky historic spaces of North Adams, Massachusetts. Open to all players and dancers age 16+ at any level of experience.
Venue: All Saint's Episcopal Church: a wonderful 2nd-floor hall with comfortable floors and easy walking distance to downtown shops and restaurants.
