Le thème général de cet axe de recherche est en très forte expansion dans le monde mais malheureusement délaissé par les économistes français. Il s’agit de travaux à la jointure des sciences économiques et des sciences politiques qui s’intéressent aux institutions et au changement institutionnel ainsi qu’aux interactions nationales, internationales ou globales. Ils portent sur une grande diversité de questions, avec un accent particulier sur le caractère déterminant des conflits économiques (marchands ou interétatiques) et sociopolitiques : les tendances de la recherche contemporaine vont de plus en plus dans les sens d’une analyse des institutions à l’échelle nationale, internationale ou transnationale où les facteurs économiques se trouvent articulés avec les déterminants politiques.

The general theme of this research field is strongly growing worldwide, however it is little studied by French economists. At the cross-roads between economics and political science, this line of work is primarily interested in institutions and institutional change, as well as in national / international / global interactions. The research carried out by the members of this research field deal with a variety of questions, and with an emphasis on the central role played by economic conflicts (business-related or inter-state) and socio-political conflicts. Current research is developing around the analysis of institutions at the national, international or transnational level, where the economic factors are interacting with political factors.
