I am an Associate Professor in the Food and Resource Economics Department at the University of Florida. I am a co-editor at Applied Economic Perspectives and Policy and I am also an associate editor at American Journal of Agricultural Economics. I have a PhD in agricultural and resource economics from the University of California, Davis. I am primarily a development economist, focusing on agriculture and livestock, but I also work broadly in applied microeconomics and have a strong interest in applied econometrics for causal inference.
My student Yujuan Gao is on the job market for 2024-2025. Her areas of specialty are development economics, economics of education, and impact evaluation.
