AP Exam Schedule 2025 (by date)
Two exams at the same time: You may register for both exams. You will take one exam on the alternate testing date. Mrs. Thomson will contact you after registration closes to inform you of which exam you will take on which date.
Two exams in a day: You will take the exams on the primary testing date as scheduled, per College Board policy.
NOTE: Students will not be permitted to take an alternate exam because their exam is held on the day of the Senior Prom. The AP Psychology exam is typically finished by 3pm (if not earlier). We will make every effort to conduct the test as efficiently as possible. Note that students who present excuse notices for this date will NOT be permitted entrance to the senior prom.
All students enrolled in AP courses must enroll in the appropriate AP Classroom on the College Board's My AP site:
During the month of September, your AP teacher will provide you with the join code(s) necessary to join the correct sections of your course.
Students in Economics and Physics C must join BOTH sections of their course.
** Joining the AP Classroom is NOT the same as ordering the exam, even if you indicate on the CB site that you plan to test. You MUST follow the two-step process in October to pay for and order your exam. If you do not pay, you will not test. **
Exam-only students (not enrolled in the relevant course at HHS): You will receive a join code when you register for the exam on Total Registration. Be sure to immediately join the AP Classroom, so that your exam can be ordered.
REGISTRATION FOR THE MAY 2025 EXAMS IS NOW COMPLETE. NO ADDITIONAL EXAMS CAN BE ORDERED.
Registration for May 2026 exams will take place in October 2025.
Registration is a two-step process:
1) Complete the registration and payment on the Total Registration site: https://user.totalregistration.net/AP/310073. If you have taken AP exams or a PSAT exam at HHS in previous years, you should use your existing Total Registration account. Parents and students should both be present while registering to ensure that the correct exams are ordered. Please be sure to have a credit card or debit card available before beginning registration. If you do not complete this step, no exam will be ordered.
2) Complete the confirmation on the College Board’s My AP site (http://myap.collegeboard.org) for each AP course. Under each course, students should click “Register for Exam” and confirm registration (or indicate that they are not taking that exam).
HHS permits its students to enroll in any exam that is offered at HHS, regardless of enrollment in the course. Note that the exam fee is slightly more for these exams; free and reduced lunch students receive a small discount.
Students follow the same registration process as all other test takers.
After paying for your exam, you must use the displayed Join Code to join the AP classroom on myap.collegeboard.org so that your exam can be ordered.
A few key points:
Students receive no access to any test preparation materials from HHS teachers or through AP Classroom. Students are entirely on their own for preparation.
Colleges place much more value on enrollment and performance in the course than self-studying for exams. If it possible to enroll in the course during your time at HHS, we strongly encourage you to do so. Note that many schools do not consider AP exam scores in the admission process at all.
SCVTHS who reside within the Hillsborough Township School District are permitted to take exams at Hillsborough HS.
Students follow the same registration process as all other test takers.
After paying for your exam, you must use the displayed Join Code to join the AP classroom on myap.collegeboard.org so that your exam can be ordered.
A few key points:

Exams will be offered to Hillsborough residents who are homeschooled or attend SCVTHS only. Students who attend private schools are expected to sit for exams at their school of attendance. No exams will be offered to students who reside outside of Hillsborough under any circumstances.
Students must be in the equivalent of grades 9-12. No students in grade 8 or below are permitted to test.
Students may only take exams in courses that are offered at HHS. Exams are not available in the following subjects: Comparative Government, Japanese, Latin, Music Theory, Research, Seminar, or Spanish Literature.

Please submit documentation to Mrs. Thomson, AP Coordinator, at [email protected]. Questions should also be directed to Mrs. Thomson.
Student identification is required on test day, per the College Board requirements (student ID, license, passport - with photo)
HHS will supply Chromebooks on test day, or students may bring their own device. Students who bring their own devices will be expected to have loaded the appropriate apps. HHS cannot provide technical support for students who use their own devices.
Homeschooled students with documented disabilities are responsible for applying for accommodations on their own. Students who intend to apply for (or have been approved for) accommodations must notify the AP coordinator of this information no later than December 1. The deadline to apply is in January each year. All accommodations must be approved no later than April 1, and families should begin this process as early as possible. HHS will be unable to provide accommodations that are not approved by this deadline.
After paying for your exam, you must use the displayed Join Code to join the AP classroom on myap.collegeboard.org so that your exam can be ordered.
Please follow the directions under Exam Ordering (above) to register for exams. You should also email your documentation of residency to Mrs. Thomson at [email protected].

Two exams in a day:
You will need to bring a bag lunch. You will have an opportunity to eat (quickly, ~ 15 minutes) in a designated area between exams. You might also consider bringing a "snack lunch" that you can space out and eat during the exam breaks and the break between tests.
Class Attendance Policy On Testing Days:
If you are absent from classes beyond those during your exam time and lunch, you will be marked absent. PLEASE monitor your absences for the year. You don't want to lose credit in a class because you came in late on an AP exam day.
If you intend to leave after your exam, please bring a note from your parent and drop it off at the attendance office in the morning before testing. Course absences for your classes held after exam dismissal and lunch are NOT excused and count towards loss of credit.
You may NOT leave for the day without going through the attendance office. These are considered class cuts. If you're leaving, follow the procedure above.

Some important information about this exam:
If your Chromebook doesn't work, you should contact the Tech Dept now to get it repaired. Please don't wait until exam day.
On test day, we will provide you with a set of headphones with a microphone. You cannot use your own headphones on exam day.
You can pull the headphones off your ears when you are listening to the audio, and then pull them over your ears. This will also cut down somewhat on the distraction of hearing the people around you, who are doing their recordings at the same time.
PLEASE take the time to practice. We won't be providing remedial instructions on exam day for students who did not practice on their own.

AP Chinese Exam - Practice Instructions
For this purpose, you can use any set of regular headphones (not wireless or Bluetooth) that you have. We will issue you a set of headphones with a microphone for use on exam day.
I encourage all students to also complete the practice test, so that you are familiar with the functions of the app, and typing in Chinese using the app. For speaking, I recommend practicing with a mask on if you will wear a mask on exam day. The practice test is 60 minutes, but you can exit out of each section and move on once you get the hang of it. We will not have any opportunity for practice in the app on exam day.
