Biography

As an instructional designer with the CII, Alba works with faculty to create, build and maintain engaging courses that incorporate the newest educational technology and create opportunities for students to have authentic, real-world experiences. She also helps develop dynamic, hands-on trainings for some of our most used educational technologies, that she then teaches to faculty and students. Some of the tools she specializes in are Google Suite products, Adobe Connect and Blackboard. Alba comes from an education background and holds an MAT from Chapman University. She has coached soccer (at all levels, ages 4-25) on and off since high school and taught at the high school level for almost eight years. Subjects taught included English, AVID, physical education and independent study. She is also fluent in Spanish and will lend her translating abilities out for a small fee (a thank you will due). When not working, Alba enjoys watching movies, traveling, shopping, working out, snowboarding, dirt bike riding, fishing, playing/watching sports and partaking in almost any outdoor activity with her husband and three children.
