Hello! Welcome to my homepage!
I am an economist and currently a visiting faculty member at Wellesley College. Previously, I was a Visiting Assistant Professor at Northeastern University (2022–2024) and a Senior Researcher at the Policy Studies Institute in Ethiopia.
My research lies at the intersection of development economics, labor economics, and political economy. Recently, I have focused on labor market dynamics in developing countries and the integration of migrants and refugees into host economies. I am passionate about understanding the economic forces that drive societal progress and developing policies that promote economic development and enhance labor markets for sustainable employment.
I hold a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Sussex (UK), an MSc in Economics from the University of Copenhagen (Denmark), and a BA in Economics from Addis Ababa University (Ethiopia).
My Full name is Tsegay Gebrekidan Tekleselassie (Geʽez/Amharic/Tigrigna ፀጋይ ገብረኪዳን ተክለስላሴ). For ease of pronunciation, you can call me "t'se-guy" or simply "Se-guy".
