The Derek and Sarah Tiller Family Endowed Scholarship

Supporting Football Student- Athletes in Memory of Coach Ricky Aspinwall

This fund was established in 2025 by Derek and Sarah Tiller of Flowery Branch, Georgia. Mr. Tiller, a 2007 graduate of Wofford College and a four-year letterman on the football team, created this scholarship with his family for two primary reasons.

First, the fund serves as a way to give back in appreciation for the tremendous support and opportunities Mr. Tiller received as a student-athlete at Wofford.

Second, it honors the memory of his late friend, Coach Ricky Aspinwall ("Coach A"), who was tragically killed at Apalachee High School on September 4, 2024. Through this scholarship, the Tiller family hope to continue Coach Aspinwall's legacy by supporting and inspiring future generations of football student athletes.

Preference in the selection of recipients is given to a member of the football team playing on the offensive line who hails from the state of Georgia. If no such candidate meets these criteria, second preference will be given to an offensive lineman regardless of home state.
