PRITTHIJIT BISWAS
I am Pritthijit Biswas, since May 2025, I have been working as an institute postdoctoral fellow in mathematics at IIT Bombay in the research group of Dr. Saurav Bhaumik. From August 2024 until April 2025, I have worked as a project assistant in the research group of Prof. Jaya NN Iyer, at the Institute of Mathematical Sciences in Chennai, India. Earlier I obtained my PhD in mathematics from Chennai Mathematical Institute in Chennai, India, under the supervision of Prof. Parameswaran Sankaran. My current research area revolves around moduli theory of vector bundles in algebraic geometry.
I am highly interested in derived algebraic geometry, more specifically derived categories of coherent sheaves of moduli spaces of vector bundles over curves, Bridgeland stability conditions and their interactions with full exceptional collections and semiorthogonal decompositions.
