about me

I am a third-year PhD Candidate in Operations Research at Georgia Tech ISyE, advised by Dr. Juba Ziani. My research interests lie at the intersection of mathematics, economics and computer science. I work on decision-making problems with human-in-the-loop considerations, with specific emphasis on strategic human behavior, privacy and other ethical considerations. I am grateful to be supported (currently or in the recent past) by the Stewart Fellowship, the Jerry & Harriett Thuesen PhD Fellowship and the ARC-ACO Fellowship!

Note: My first name is derived from two Bangla words 'deep/দীপ' (source of light) and 'ansh/অংশ' (portion/fragment) which put together, mean 'fragment of light'. All the letters are pronounced. However, given that it is significantly hard to say, for all practical purposes, I prefer to be called Sen.

[25 Apr, 2025] I gave a lightning talk at the ISyE-IOE-MS&E Junior Rising Stars Workshop!

[26 Mar, 2025] I have been selected to participate in the inaugural Junior Researchers Workshop co-hosted by Georgia Tech ISyE, Michigan IOE and Stanford MS&E! Yay!

[26 Mar, 2025] I successfully completed my PhD dissertation proposal. I am a PhD candidate now :)

[03 Mar, 2025] We had a great time organizing the 6th Privacy-Preserving AI workshop at AAAI in Philly!

[09 Feb, 2025] I will be presenting a poster on our work on centralization in hiring at ITA 2025 in San Diego this week!

[22 Jan, 2025] Our paper on differentially private graph data release has been accepted at AISTATS 2025!
