The Nebraska Association of Technology Administrators (NATA) was formed in 2013 as a group to advocate for the voice of technology administration at both the local and state levels. NATA currently represents the 18 largest districts in the state of Nebraska with more than 70% of all public K-12 students having a voice in NATA. Our purpose is to advance the cause of public education generally by:
i. Collaborating with member districts in all areas of educational technology, focusing on policy, purchasing, best practice, law, educational technology systems, staffing, security, and emerging trends.
ii. Engaging in the legislative process at the state and federal levels regarding educational technology policy.
iii. Engaging with the Nebraska Department of Education and other state entities that are involved in educational technology decision making in Nebraska.
iv. Supporting member’s participation in international, national, state, and regional technology professional organizations.
v. Improving the leadership skills of technology administrators through the development of professional standards, mentorships, and professional development opportunities.
Please read our constitution and bylaws, and if so inclined contact one of our officers for further assistance, or consider joining with us in support of the cause of technology administration in public education.
