I am the Georgia and Jim Thompson Associate Professor in the University of Nebraska's Economics department, which I joined in the Fall of 2016. I am also a Faculty Affiliate of J-PAL North America and of the Wilson Sheehan Lab for Economic Opportunities (LEO) at the University of Notre Dame. My research areas are labor and public economics. I study socioeconomic inequality and the design of public policies and court processes that impact families, using linked administrative datasets. My recent research centers on two general themes: (1) housing and the impact of eviction on households, (2) the future of work, and better measurement in the labor market.
I will be visiting Princeton's economics department (Industrial Relations Section) for the year 2025-2026.Â
