This session will be provided by our Local Mental Health Authority, Bluebonnet Trails Community Services. As required by §153.1015, School district employees who regularly interact with students are employees working on a school campus, including, but not limited to, teachers, coaches, librarians, instructional coaches, counselors, nurses, administration, administrative support personnel, student support personnel, paraprofessionals, substitutes, custodians, cafeteria staff, bus drivers, crossing guards, and district special programs liaisons. This session is available to ALL staff. Time is going to be from 8:30-4:30 with an hour lunch. All staff who interact with students must be trained by 2028-2029 school year.

This session will unpack the writing components of the Amplify curriculum, offering practical strategies for guiding students through sentence structure, idea development, and handwriting. We’ll explore how to spark creativity while building skills—one small step (and pencil grip!) at a time.

From sentences to stories, your students have something to say—and Amplify’s writing component helps them say it well. This session dives into helping 1st and 2nd graders develop ideas, strengthen writing mechanics, and build confidence as young writers. Learn how to bring out the voice in every writer while building foundational skills with purpose and fun.

Participants will be guided through a streamlined internalization process and experience a model lesson that showcases embedded tools for simplifying planning and instruction. Teachers will then collaborate with peers—supported by a coach—to internalize their upcoming lessons. Teachers will also learn how to use the Amplify HUB and PD Library to explore important tools that we have available.

Science safety is paramount in any laboratory setting, especially in educational environments where students engage in hands-on experiments and investigations. This course is designed to equip educators with the knowledge, skills, and practices necessary to maintain a safe and secure laboratory environment for students and instructors alike.

This session is required for all staff who have not completed in a previous year.

During this self-paced session, you will delve into the newly revised Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for science in grades K-12. This comprehensive session is designed to equip educators with the knowledge and tools needed to navigate the updated standards and inspire a lifelong passion for science in students.
