This session will be provided by our Local Mental Health Authority, Bluebonnet Trails Community Services. As required by §153.1015, School district employees who regularly interact with students are employees working on a school campus, including, but not limited to, teachers, coaches, librarians, instructional coaches, counselors, nurses, administration, administrative support personnel, student support personnel, paraprofessionals, substitutes, custodians, cafeteria staff, bus drivers, crossing guards, and district special programs liaisons. This session is available to ALL staff. Time is going to be from 8:30-4:30 with an hour lunch. All staff who interact with students must be trained by 2028-2029 school year.
2025-2026 School Year (Due July 31, 2025)
Foundational 30 Hours are required for teachers with GT students.
This course is for teachers who work with gifted/talented students as part of our service design. In order to teach students in an elementary gifted cluster classroom, work with our honors students, or instruct AP or OnRamps courses, you must hold a GT Foundational Training certificate.
You will complete the 5 self-paced modules through our outside vendor, Academity. Upon completion, your five certificates must be submitted in Kickup for district credit and record keeping.
2025-2026 School Year (Due July 31, 2025)
Need your yearly GT 6 hour update?
This course is open to teachers who need a 6 hour update to work with gifted/talented students as part of our service design.
You will complete your modules through our outside vendor, Academity. Upon completion, your certificate must be submitted in Kickup for district credit and record keeping.
2025-2026 School Year (Due July 31, 2025)
This course is open to AP and OR teachers who participated in APSI or Summer PLI training. GT credit was granted for 18 of the 30 hours.
To complete the GT Foundational 30 hour training, Nature and Needs along with Identification and Assessment must be completed.
You will complete the 2 self-paced modules through our outside vendor, Academity. Upon completion, both certificates must be submitted in Kickup for district credit and record keeping.
2025-2026 School Year (Due July 31, 2025)
AP Summer Institutes (APSIs) are intensive, 30-hour professional development programs designed to support both new and experienced AP® teachers. Led by certified AP educators, these institutes are available in both online and in-person formats, providing participants with effective teaching strategies, course-specific instructional materials, and access to a collaborative educator community. You will attend the institute and then use this course to submit your certificate to this Kickup for district credit and records keeping.
2025-2026 School Year (Due July 31, 2025)
Instructors teaching an OnRamps course for the first time prepare for effective course implementation by learning essential course content and pedagogical skills, familiarizing themselves with course-specific technology and setting year-one expectations for themselves and students. They work with peer Instructors across the state, partner with Mentor Instructors, and reflect on challenges of practice with OnRamps Implementation Coaches. You will attend the conference and then use this course to submit your certificate to this Kickup for district credit and records keeping.
2025-2026 School Year (Due July 31, 2025)
Instructors returning to OnRamps to teach the same course deepen their pedagogical content knowledge for the benefit of students and their communities of practice. University faculty and OnRamps course staff facilitate learning experiences that promote collaboration between Returning Instructors across districts and fine-tune their pedagogy and skills in various learning modalities. You will attend the conference and then use this course to submit your certificate to this Kickup for district credit and records keeping.
